Obtaining a Residence Permit
(TRC):

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Within the first 90 days of entry into Romania.

 

Where
General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) in the county where the worker is employed or accommodated

 

2. Employer Documents
Employment contract (registered with ITM)

Company registration certificate (CUI)

Proof of salary and tax payments (if applicable)

 

3. Worker Documents

Valid passport (with visa and entry stamp)

Work Permit (copy)

Proof of accommodation (rental contract or accommodation provided by employer)

Health insurance (public or private)

Medical certificate (if not previously submitted)

2 passport-sized photos

Application for residence permit (completed and signed)

 

4. Fees
TRC fee: ~259 RON

Residence card fee: ~120 RON

 

5. Processing Time and Result
Processing time: ~30 days

Result: Temporary residence permit (card)

 

Important: The permit must be renewed at least 30 days before expiration
